| Olympic Hero: |
Susi Susanti. The first Olympic Badminton Gold medal went to Susi Susanti at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992.
She then continued to Atlanta where she won a bronze medal in the singles event.
She encapsulates all the qualities in an athlete that made her both Olympic and World Champion – she was composed, determined and focused. She was the epitome of graciousness, both in victory and defeat.
